Warehouse Packing Job

A packer, or order packer, prepares finished products for shipment and delivery. Their responsibilities include:
Packaging: Ensuring items are packaged and sealed properly
Inventory: Locating items in warehouses, counting and recording stock levels, and restocking shelves
Shipping: Loading goods onto pallets, inspecting shipping containers, and ensuring they meet shipping regulations
Customer service: Meeting customer order specifications in a timely manner, and updating customer invoices
Equipment: Operating equipment such as dollies, pallet wrappers, pallets, forklifts, and electrical pallet jacks
Documentation: Keeping records of packages including delivery notes and invoices, and filling out packing and order forms
Safety: Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area
Some employers prefer candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent degree, and prior retail or customer service experience. Forklift certification may also be an advantage.
